Aogashima Japanese island

 Aogashima is a small Japanese island of volcanic activity located in the Philippine Sea tracking administratively Tokyo despite being located about 358 km from the capital of the country, the island itself is a giant volcanic crater, and inside that hole there is a small volcano. 

Ojahima island is still considered an active volcano to this day (such as the island of Hawaii), despite the fact that its last eruption was in 1870, and this eruption killed more than half the island's population at the time and forced the rest to flee, and it took 50 years until the population begins to return . 

It is a volcano sinking and highlights above the water and is part of the crater rise in the outer edge of its range from 200 m to 420 m, and believed that the island was formed by overlapping the remains of four of the caldera (crater volcanic large) submarine at least, Ojahima consists of joined the inner and outer edges of these giant drilling 

Southern coast rises to be a series of sharp hills form the side of the caldera formed called Aakinosawa Ikenosawa with a diameter of 1.5 km, and fills the caldera cone called secondary Maruyama Maruyama, who is still coming out of it geothermal steam emissions around the area where the plants are not clear.

The highest point on the island, 432 meters in height, located on the edge of the caldera. 

There is not much to do in Ojahima Despite the beauty of the tropical atmosphere. Located in the center of the island to the sauna because of normal thermal steam rising from the ground, there is a public facility to take advantage of geothermal energy and gas, which people use to cook food. This property is available for free. Fresh vegetables, potatoes and steamed egg and one of the features Ojahima. The facility also includes a sauna and public bath, and heated pools.
